Geoff Duck is a self published author who has written a mystery full of mystical references to past rural folk beliefs and practices set remote in North Devon, UK. The dark and mysterious branding of the site relies heavily on the original illustrated book cover.

Geoff wanted an unfathomable feel to his website, to connect with his audience and invite interaction from his visitors through his blog and extracts from the book.
“In the winter of 2019/20 before the time of the virus, I was an unpublished author with a debut novel to sell, no online presence and little idea of how to promote and market my baby, but I knew I needed an author’s website.
My book was different and I am different. I different, less commercial than the usual author websites. Rosie’s name jumped out at me from my laptop. She lives where I live, in the middle of nowhere, immersed in the deep Devon countryside. I sensed an affinity.
I told her I wanted a certain ‘unfathomable’ feel to my pages. She obliged & was simply the easiest person to work with. She pushed gently, always replied promptly and maintained steady contact through online or face-to-face meetings. What a pleasure!
Now my website is live and things are kicking off. Time will tell if it attracts my dream readership, but I am confident it will. I know they will have seen my vision realised.
